Nikki was born in Pietermaritzburg and matriculated from Russell High Girls School in 1987, thereafter completing a Marketing and Sales Management Diploma through The Technikon of Natal. After three years of study, she travelled in America for three years as an Aupair.

Nikki started out as an admin assistant for Absa Insurance Brokers in 1995 slowly working her way up and obtaining Commercial Insurance experience. She applied for a job opening at D Warne & Ass in 1997 and worked as a Hull Broker for three years.

Eikos Risk Applications bought D Warne & Ass in 2000, when she was approached by Alexander Forbes to head up the Hull Department within the Marine Sector. She remained at Forbes for three years when Eikos approached her to complete the Hull Team at Eikos Risk Applications

She worked in the Hull Department for three years before transferring to the Risk Profiling Unit in 2006. She is currently working as a consultant for Eikos as well continuing to profile the more complicated risks.

After hours Nikki loves to workout at the gym and instructs a Spinning Class in the evenings.
