Tandi was born in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape. Her family relocated to Durban 15 years ago. She matriculated in 2001 at Durban Girls High School. She studied for a National Diploma in Building: Quantity Surveying at the Durban University of Technology. She also studied for a Certificate programme at UNISA Business Logistics: A Transportation Approach.

Tandi worked for a short period for a Quantity Surveying Consultancy in Pietermaritzburg and then a construction company before joining Eikos in October 2007. She is an assistant in the Nerve Team.

Tandi enjoys going out, reading, watching plays/movies/sport.
