Gavin began his career in IT Support after completing his A+ qualification through Comptia in 2001. He joined CLS Mobile (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of MICROS Fidelio in February 2002 as a member of their technical helpdesk and support team for clients such as Supply Chain Services (Pty) Ltd and Unilever Foods Fieldmarketing (Pty) Ltd

In November 2003 Gavin was adopted into the RAS Administration Services (Pty) Ltd family were he took over a more active role in supporting the IT and Networking requirements of his fellow staff members. Under the leadership of Renee Smit and Jason Myers, Gavin began to grow in his responsibilities and understanding of the corporate IT environment.

With the merging of Group Risk Management Services (Pty) Ltd and Eikos Risk Applications (Pty) Ltd in October 2006 Gavin was taken onboard as the support technician for the Eikos Group and has continue to expand his knowledge in IT by studding the Comptia N + and MCSE courses.
